The Janmashtami Special Assembly was held in Doon Public School today.Children from all the classes participated in the event. All the events of Lord Shri Krishna were well narrated and enacted by the children. The performances filled the ambiance with sanctity. Doon Family wishes you all a very Happy Janmashtami. Smile day In order to celebrate 'Smile Day' a Dental checkup was organized by PRIYAS NGO - Koshish ek aasha by renowned doctor Dr. Mohit Garg for the student of class I & II in Doon Public School, Hathras.

To infuse the concept of white colour to the tiny toddlers Doon Public school celebrated White day. Little champs in white dresses were made to recognize white colour through white objects & milk products. The atmosphere was also made according to the concept of the day.

To know more about colours, blue colour day was celebrated by enjoying pool party, engaging in activities like hand impression, tearing & pasting & cotton impression on paper.

‘Mother is a beautiful creation of God’ and we all love our mother. In order to appreciate & express their gratitude A Mother’s Day Celebration was done by pre primary students in Doon Public School.

Play way method of learning allow children to express themselves and reduces stress and anxiety, it provides children a creative outlet, improves the academic performance of the children, promotes intellectual development and above all enables children to think out of the box. Keeping the said notion in mind, plethora of enrichment activities were done in classrooms. Such as sand activity, air tracing, clay modeling, story telling, bindi sticking, dip printing, number blocks, stacking, follow the leader, treasure hunt, sorting & placing, flash card activity, classification, identification, audio/ visual, hopscotch, show & tell etc.

Colours are the smiles of the nature, so is the colour Orange. To know more about colours , pre primary students of Doon Public School has celebrated “Orange colour day” on 20th september’18 with great zeal & enthusiasm. The entire pre primary wing was decorated with orange colour object, balloons etc. Both teachers & toddlers came in orange coloured clothes and brought orange coloured food such as orange, biscuits, idli, rice, sweets, pudding etc. Clay modeling, finger printing & dip printing activities were also done in order to make them familiar with orange colour. The day was filled with fun & joy.

Scholastic and co scholastic activities have an equal importance in school program for the all round development of the child. Keeping this in view, we at Doon Public School conducted Inter class Competition of Tearing & Pasting for the student of class Pre- Nursery, Fancy Dress Competition on topic healthy food for the student of Class Nursery & Show and tell competition on topic animals for the students of class Prep on 6th September’18. The purpose of conducting the competition was not only to blend learning with fun but also to develop confidence in the students by giving them an opportunity to get on the stage and speak in front of an audience.

Children dressed up in their colourful costumes and spoke a few sentences on the character that they depicted. The effort and hard work of children was highly commendable. Three winners from each class were selected and got I, II and III Prize respectively.
